Scope
of the project
The expansion of the Opera Nova aims to complement and expand the functions of the main Opera building. The project will include the construction of the fourth Opera Circle, which will include:
a multifunctional hall – for 485 people, depending on the needs it can serve as a concert, theatre or rehearsal hall
a multifunctional space for exhibitions and other artistic activities
cinema hall for 205 people
additional areas with gastronomic, support and technical functions
As part of the
project,
it is planned to purchase equipment
and furnishings:
Equipment of the facility with furniture and stands:
- folding seats and stands,
- gastronomy technology,
- movable buffets, tables, counters,
- mobile bars.
Multimedia and specialist systems for the implementation of performances:
- electroacoustics
- stage mechanics,
- stage lighting and audio-video systems,
- cinema technology,
- external displays for repertoire.
Musical equipment:

- musicians’ chairs, transport carts,
- acoustic screens for musicians,
- instruments: percussion: kettledrums, gran, vibraphone, xylophone, marimba, bells and chimes, grand piano, concert grand piano and harp
In addition, the project will also implement soft activities related to improving staff competences, as well as cooperation with the Foreign Partner.
Information and promotional activities of the project will also be carried out.
Target
Groups
As a result of the project implementation, a new structure of recipients will be created:
- subscriber viewers,
- music lovers, enthusiasts and connoisseurs of classical and opera music,
- mass customers,
- families with children,
- preschool children,
- school children,
- youth,
- seniors,
- people with disabilities,
- tourists,
- the project’s recipients will also be the local community, as well as those from the nearest regions.

Objectives
The main objective of the project is to create the fourth circle of Opera Nova, and consequently increase the cultural and tourist potential of the region by making the cultural heritage more widely available. The project is significant from the point of view of the socio-economic development of the country and responds to the need to improve the condition of social infrastructure. The actions taken as part of the project implementation will serve to fulfill other national, regional and local strategies, in particular in the field of popularizing cultural heritage.

effects
The implementation of the project will contribute to the fulfillment of Opera Nova’s mission, which assumes conducting cultural activities at the highest possible European and world level, adapted to the needs of recipients with different expectations and levels of musical experience. The implementation of the project will enable the achievement of the institution’s intentions in the form of improving and developing the cultural offer with new, previously unpresented forms of activity, events attracting a large audience from different age groups and with different musical preferences. The effect of the project will be an increase in the number of people using the institution’s cultural offer and an increase in the number of new events, also conducted in the online formula. Additionally, the implementation of the project will result in an increase in the number of jobs at Opera Nova.
